ViJay the Pup

Almost a year and a half ago, http://www.petrescuebyjudy.com/animals/detail?AnimalID=3408370 We came in and adopted ViJay Singh. After he came home, the kids gave him his new name of Charlie. He now answers to Charlie, Charles or Prince Charles. He is an absolutely wonderful, caring, kind and regal dog. Sometimes we all wonder if he is a human in a dog costume! (As you will see in the pictures) We adopted ViJay soon after my husband died of Esophageal Cancer. Our Lab Casey was very lonely and we thought it would be good for her and us to love something since we were all so sad. Wow, what a great idea we had. Charlie (ViJay) and Casey are best of friends. Charlie has grown and continues to grow and has surpassed our labs height. He is such a wonderful, caring and kind dog. He is an attention hound and sleeps with me each and every night. I can honestly say that this is the best dog I have ever had and we all love Charlie so much. Everyone who comes into our homes falls in love with him instantly. He has a remarkable way to look right through you. He is extremely gentle and thinks he is a tiny little lap dog. He has been extremely healthy and listens very well. He gets along well with all dogs but only on his turf. When we bring him to the dog park, he becomes very shy and will either stay with Casey or will sit with me. Charlie gets intimidated easy and doesn’t like to leave my side. Charlie demands a lot of attention and believe me, he gets it all the time, maybe just a little too much! He does have a little bit of a jealous tendency and does have to be the center of attention with people or pets. Attached you will see pictures of Charlie (ViJay) now.

Venus the Tennis Pro Mama

Just wanted you to know that Venus, now renamed Beatrice Venus, had a wonderful first night at her new home. She is very much a "snuggler" and spent the night on Madelyn's bed. I introduced her to the rest of her family (our cats) this morning. All went well except Harold, my oldest cat, is now ignoring me as punishment for bringing another family member home. Thanks for you professional demeanor and obvious love for animals. Jeff

ViVi the Hound Puppy

Hi, Kendall! Just wanted to let you know that Vivi (now called Alli) is thriving! She seems to get bigger every day and she's in love with her new best friend Tucker. Tucker loves her right back - they love to play and are adorable when they curl up together. We all are very happy :o) Susan and Rick

Vicky the Pomeranian

Want to share an updated photo of Vicky the Pomeranian who was found on the side of the road in 2009. I fostered her last December, and she was adopted by her forever family a few days before Christmas. Most of you remember what she looked like and how sick she was, but I got a new picture of her today from her family, and she looks like a new dog! I asked her owners if they would be willing to allow Judy to put before and after photos of her on the website and they said 'Yes!'

Valentine the Sweetheart

We are in love with Ms Valentine! So far she has familiarized herself with the entire house and has a special spot in just about every room! She is eating well after we started mixing some wet food with her dry food. She has about 2 to 3 small walks a day and has met just about everyone on the cul-de-sac. May I say, she is a sweetheart with everyone she has met! She loves to go outside and lay in the sun or shade. She stays with us in the front yard as we watch the kids play. Even though she is still a little withdrawn, she is warming up to us more and more every day. I can tell she was getting more comfortable when she sprawled herself on the tile in the middle of the kitchen while all of us were in it! Our hearts break when we think about her journey in life so far. We are just so happy that it led to our home. And by the way, we took your advice about the loop brush. Wow, what a difference! She sheds very little. This is a good thing since we are awful doggie parents and have allowed her onto our bed! Well Jessica, we cant thank you enough for all the love and attention you gave Valentine. We want to assure you that we are loving on her and treating her like the princess that she is.
