Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families. We invite you to read along with us. If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going! We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.
Hi Judy and staff, I am overdue for an update on Georgie O’Leary, the Fiesta Bowl Mama. She has been with us for 7 ½ years now. Hard to believe her puppies will be nine years old
on Christmas day
. Sad that one of them, Boomer, passed away a few months ago.
Georgie still has the marks on her body where she was obviously mistreated. Who knows, maybe tortured. We see these marks as red badges of courage and fully accept her the way she is.
We were concerned about our deep wooded backyard because of Georgie’s past living in the woods for nearly six months. She took to the woods right away, sometimes staying down there for a half hour or more by herself.
When Georgie came to us, we were told she doesn’t like men. This has never been the case in our family. She is very much a daddy’s girl and loves our two sons.
Our family has been blessed by Georgie’s presence and we thank you for allowing us to adopt her and show her a better life, one we hope will last for many more years to come.
Congratulations on 30 years! Around this time in April of 2012 or 2013, we adopted our Koda (previously Gwenivere) from you at the Mall. She's still doing great! I wish we could be there on the 23rd!
