...Grieve not, nor speak of me with tears, but laugh and talk of me as if I were beside you... I loved you so - 'twas heaven here with you. -Isla Paschal Richardson

Lucky, My Angel Dog
My Angel has gone to Heaven.
I was 4th grade when we found Lucky, my sister, friends and I chased a pack of dogs though our neighborhood in hopes to rescue Lucky, I remember my sister carrying the little ball of fur in her arms as the other dogs tried to get her to put him down. She locked herself in the neighbors bathroom when we were told we could not keep him. Before you know it our parents including the Markiewiez’ (R.I.P Mr. M) had a rope on the main road like cowboys, and we brought him home. Lucky brought unbelievable happiness to our family. Not a mean bone in him. I never thought the day would come when God would take my Angel away from us. Approximately 2 ½ years ago Lucky got sick, He had such a loving heart that one day it grew too big for his body, by poor baby hung in there with special care from Dr. Elhers for 2 more years. Lucky passed on the front lawn with my Father the afternoon of February 28, 2007. The saddest day of my life….He was more than a dog; he was by best friend ever. He was always right there by my side. I would give anything to have said goodbye…..
Dear Lucky, Words cannot express my love for you and how you have affected my life while in it and now without you. I do not blame you for leaving, I was the lucky one to have you in my life for so long. I am happy now you are not in pain, although I miss you dearly. Rest in peace my Love, you are the one and ONLY Lucky. WE love you so much. Please visit me in my dreams soon. We will cross the bridge together one day, until we meet again…..

Lucy
I adopted a dog from you back in 2003. Her name was Lucy and she was a therapy/rescue animal. She was a cattle dog mixed with heeler, I was told...more importantly, she was the crown of my life.
She has passed recently and there's a void in me.
I know I'll never get another Lucy, but I'm seeking a dog with a similar disposition. She didn't bite or growl when young kids rough housed with her. She was obedient and loved everybody.
