Description:Cherry just came back to PRBJ from a family with 5 month old twins. Cherry and their 2 year old son and other PRBJ dog, played all the time, but Cherry is such a love that she wanted to play too rough with the infant twins and eventually the mom asked us to take her back and find a family with kids over 2!!!! A puppy that is 90% housetrained?? How can you go wrong with this lovely and loving girl?
Cherry is definally got that Jack Russell personality she is High energy and requires a confident pack leader. She comes across very dominate and strong around other dogs but with correction from confident leader and socilization she will be a happy behaviorally healthy puppy. We would not place her with very young children.
This litter came with its Mommy, Peaches. Their owner had two sisters who BOTH got pregnant at the same time by the same neighbor dog and asked us for help. Luckily all the pups are healthy and happy. They look so different it is just a guess of what the mix is, but they will be on the medium size, with short hair, and their mom looks like a Big Jack Russel, so that would be our best guess now!
Cherry is the largest pup in the litter, but not by alot and is very happy and exhuberent! She is the first to try to jump in my arms in the morning. She loves to play and run and play somemore, but settles down nicely at bedtime and sleeps through the night. She is on her way to be crate trained, and will do great once she has individual attention since she is very smart.
OWNER UPDATE:
Cherry was adopted by a nice family who had nothing bad to say about her. Said she's great with people, other dogs, cats, etc... 90% housebroken. Happy, playful, crate trained, inside pet, likes baths, sleeps in beds, cuddles and more. They only returned Cherry because their newborn twins are 1 year old. Cherry seemed to grow a bit jealous of the babies and tried to nip them in the face several times. Never once with older toddlers, kids or people, just the newborns. For this reason, they are saying no kids under 2 years of age for Cherry adopters. Other than that, she's a great dog and very loving!

They have strong hunting instincts (stronger than your average terrier) and should not be trusted with other small animals. They like to chase and explore. Be careful not to let them off the lead unless they are very well-trained. Jack Russells like to bark and dig. They tend to get restless and destructive if not kept fruitfully occupied and well exercised. Jack Russells climb, which means they can climb over a fence, they also jump. A Jack that stands 12 inches high can easily jump five feet. JRTs are not the breed for a inexperienced dog owner. This is a BIG dog in a little dogs body. The owner needs to be as strong-willed as they are, or this little guy will take over.
