Foster Update 1/7/21: These are really sweet puppies who like to have fun!  Rubarb loves to give kisses and his tail wags so hard:) He likes to explore and run in the yard and play with his siblings. They all enjoy squeaky toys and to play tug of war with each other. They will need basic puppy training, but will make great family companions. A fenced backyard is required for them to safely romp and play in:)   

One afternoon we got a phone call from a man who seemed in distress. He said that his aunt had a mother dog and five puppies and she was about to release them into the streets. The staff memeber who answered the phone yelled, "NO! We'll be right there!" We jumped in the car and rushed over to the address. When we arrived, we were shocked to see the condition they were in. Apple, the mother dog, was on a very short chain, and the babies were in a wooden box. We rushed them to the shelter and got them into a nice warm bath right away. Apple seems very sweet, and all of her puppies are very sweet.
