Foster Update 12/6/21:   These are really sweet puppies!  Cherry loves to give kisses. He also loves to run in the yard and play with his brothers and sister. They like squeaky toys and to play tug of war with each other.  They will need basic puppy training, but will make great family companions. A fenced backyard is required for them to safely romp and play in:)

One afternoon we got a phone call from a man who seemed in distress. He said that his aunt had a mother dog and five puppie, and she was about to release them into the streets. The staff member who answered the phone yelled, "NO! We'll be right there!" We jumped in the car and rushed over to the address. When we arrived, we were shocked to see the condition they were in. Apple, the mother dog, was on a very short chain, and the babies were in a wooden box. We rushed them to the shelter and got them into a nice warm bath right away. Apple seems very sweet, and all of her puppies are very sweet.
