Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Harper the Lab Puppy

Emily, Thanks again for everything. It was so nice of you to arrange to meet us last night. For what it is worth, I thought you were wonderful and were the shining part of the adoption process. So, again, thank you. I wanted you to know that Harper did great on the drive home. Matt held her and she snuggled into him. We stopped at PetSmart to pick up more food, bones, and fun puppy stuff and she was the best behaved pup in there. People could not believe we had just adopted her, so way to go on puppy training. You're a natural. When we got home, she ran right in like she owned the place and made herself right at home. She slept great in a crate next to our bed and she has done awesome today. We went on a walk first thing this morning and she and Ava loved it. We walked over three streets to my girlfriends house and she had a play date with the labradoodle I was telling you about. She was skittish at first, but then made herself at home there too. She passed out after the walk back home. She was pooped. We are so happy with her and were instantly in love. We will definitely keep you up to date. :-) Hugs, Angel, Matt, Ava, and Harper.
