Edison the Shepard Hound Pup

Hi Yvette, We actually took Edison (Eddie) home with us yesterday J We met him on Saturday and just couldn’t get him out of our head. My wife and son and I, all looked at and played with all the dogs there. I, personally could have taken any of them home, but my wife and son really fell in love with this little guy. We decided on keeping the name because it is pretty fitting. Since coming home yesterday afternoon, Edison has had 1 accident in the house and that was only because I wasn’t sure what his cue was. Since then, he goes to the front door, we take him out, and he pees on the lawn. We go for 3 long walks per day.. 7:00 – 1:00ish – 6:00. He walks really well on a leash! When the weather cools a bit, we’ll be playing catch in the backyard. He does a great job at fetching and giving with a tennis ball in the house. My wife and I both work from home and I actually cut my workload in half for the next 2 weeks so that I can help him acclimate and get him on a schedule. We bought a crate for him to sleep in and it seems as though he is already crate trained. He is an absolutely AMAZING puppy. He has nothing but love and affection to give and surprisingly he actually responds to sit, come, fetch and give. We couldn’t be happier. His first visit to our vet will be Wednesday morning.
