Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families. We invite you to read along with us. If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going! We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.
My wife and I brought Finnigan (Gelato) home several months ago. At first he was extremely fearful and would not let us touch him; he would “pancake” immediately on the floor if we approached him or would run away and hide. Now he follows us around and just wants to be close to us no matter what room in the house we are in. If we’re watching tv he’ll hop up on the couch and lie down next to one of us and pretty much demand a head scratch and neck/back rub. The first time I combed him was a challenge…I had to hold him down. Now he looks forward to it when he sees the comb and will lie down and stretch out all while cooing his appreciation. I also think he believes the bed is his as well.
Thank you for doing what you do. We are delighted to have this little guy in our lives!
