Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Gisella

Hi there,
I wanted to give you all an updated on our sweet little girl Bella (AKA Gisella). We adopted her back in December. She was one of a litter of six that had been rescued along with their mother.
Let me tell you, this puppy, we could not love her more if we tried. She is growing so fast and is enjoying discovering the world around her. She just started puppy training class and is taking to it so well. She's so smart! And what a little love bug. She loves everyone she meets and is obsessed with snuggle time. We're not complaining. Such a sweetheart. Everyone who meets her falls in love and virtually everyone who sees her goes out of their way to tell us how gorgeous she is.
Thank you so much for rescuing our girl so she could make our home complete. She's only been with us a month but we can't imagine now how we felt whole without her. We're so looking forward to continuing to watch her grow and learn.

Gisella

She’s such a big girl now! She recently surpassed 50 pounds. She has the biggest heart. We still can’t believe how lucky we are to have her.

(If you are reading this, make sure to go to our Facebook page to see a wonderful video of Gisella!)

Doing my best to provide you guys with periodic updates on Bella. We think she's about full-grown now. Such a big strong girl - at 10 months she's about 65 pounds. But she's a 65-pound lap dog. Always ready for snuggles. We wouldn't have it any other way.

She's well-trained enough now to be left out of her crate at night. We have a big comfy dog bed for her but, of course, she prefers to sleep in bed with us so she can cuddle. So adorable!

I take her to work often. My office is dog-friendly. My coworkers can't get enough of her and they spoil her. Our little social butterfly. Any day where she get's to interact with as many people as possible is a good day in her book. She's such a friendly girl with everyone and everything. We recently had a dog picture day at the office too and she was so photogenic! (I've included one of those photos here)

We recently went on vacation for a week and she spent the week with my parents and had a great time. They have a large backyard and she had the run of the place. But we missed her so much. We were ready to come home to see her smiling puppy face. She's definitely a central part of our family and our hearts. We'll need to stop by PRBJ soon so we can say hello in person!

Since today is Bella's birthday (Oct 13), I thought I'd share another update. She is two years old today and we can hardly believe it. She has grown into such a beautiful young lady inside and out. She is such a love. Favorite things include cuddle time, giving hugs and kisses, meeting new people, and playtime. She is such an outgoing happy girl. Hard to believe it has been almost two years since we brought her home.

We're celebrating her birthday with treats, toys, a doggy cake, and lots of love. She is thoroughly spoiled. :)
