Thank you, Judy! She is a great fit for us and I'm a great planner so I can plan
to make sure she always has someone every four hours to let her out of the crate.
My husband is a teacher and is out of school June 1st so after that he's home for
the whole summer! Here's a picture of her helping Steve clean the pool! Annie

Yvette,

We are so happy!!! We always knew something was missing and Maddie, formerly known as Hannah, was that missing part. We are "mad"my in love hence the name Maddie! She's wonderful!! She's very smart! Two days now and no accidents in the house or on the pool patio. She knows her name, the word "no", and we're working on "sit". We start classes in a couple of weeks to learn more things! She goes to puppy playtime at Petco and is the star! She is so friendly with all dogs they love her. She's having some hard days with teething but we keep freezing some chew toys and that gives her some relief. She lets me brush her teeth everyday though! She loves that!! Took her to the vet yesterday and she has a slight skin infection from the spaying and damage from the fleas but nothing a little antibiotic won't fix.

A puppy is so much work, but we're all figuring it out together and everyone is helping. She's completely changed our routines but we don't care! We love her so much!  I can't thank you enough for being so persistent with doug! You're the best!! Anytime Judy wants updates at anything you all are free to ask. I have tons of pictures of course! Here are two of my favs!

I will always remember how much a part of this you were!! Thanks again!! Oh and sorry if I bored you with this update but I could talk about Maddie all day long!!

Hi Yvette,

Everything is great! Maddie graduated her first training class! She knows so many commands I can't even list them all. One new thing we are doing to exercise her is to hide her ball and have her find it! We started with easy hiding spots and now can use pretty challenging spots. She loves this game and finds the ball every time!

We haven't been back to the dog park in awhile mostly because of the weather. There was also one larger male dog that wanted to keep picking on her a little so we try to avoid him until she's a bit bigger.

She loves the pool especially when it's hot! She doesn't like to swim by herself although we know she can. We taught her to swim and know where the steps are, but she much prefers to float in her raft!

She just went to the vet again as she continues to get a skin infection. We have her on a salmon only food and treat system which is helping. The doctor said to give the food more time and if this continues we may have to assume environmental allergies. Overall she's healthy though! She now weighs 38 pounds!

Somehow she found her way into our bed something we swore we would never do. That just shows how much we love her!!

We’re great! Maddie is so sweet and smart. She’s on an allergy med once a day which seems to be helping with her food and environmental allergies. She’s the favorite everywhere we go! She goes to doggie daycare about twice a week and then the dog park as much as we can take her. She loves to go to Rock N Brew because they are dog friendly and have a menu just for dogs! She usually orders bacon! LOL!

Hello Yvette,

I wanted to give you an update on Maddie . She is still the best thing in our lives! We finally did allergy testing and she came back positive for lots of weeds, grass, house dust, and no seeums. We start injections for the weeds and grass in an attempt to build up her immune system so she doesn’t always react in hives. For the house dust I will hire a house maid! LOL! She’s allergic to 28 out of 50 environmental factors but they think she’s young enough that we can reverse it in a way so she won’t have to be on allergy meds her whole life. Well give it a try.

She’s still a lover as you can see! Hope you are well!
Annie
