Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Eva Gabor the Sweet Puppy

Hello PRBJ, We adopted Roxy (Eva) almost one month ago. We are so excited to have her as an addition to our home. She has adjusted well to her new surroundings and loves to run and play all over the house. She loves to play with her toys and loves when we throw her ropes for her to fetch. She has had 2 vet visits since we got her and everything is looking great. She is getting bigger every day and learning new things with each adventure we take her on. We are so happy that we were able to find such a wonderful dog through your organization. Thanks!!

Ellie the Chatty Sweetheart

Miss Ellie is doing great. She is a pure joy. She is still a little scared of the doors closing and really does not understand that gaint hole in the ground, the swimming pool. She is eating well, using her liter box great, using her scraching post and thinks the pool table is hers which is fine most of the time! She is really a lot of fun. She talks all the time.

E.T. the Tabby Boy

Catherine, Thanks for writing to check up on them. They are doing extremely well and act like they've been living here their whole lives. Today we let them interact with our dog Daisy, and they did really well together. No hissing or growling - maybe a little bit of ignoring. As you can see by the attached photos - they are really relaxed in their new environment! We've started calling Turtle by the name "Sammy" - it just sounds a little more pet-like than Turtle and that's what we were going to call Sambuca had we adopted her. We still call E.T. by his given name - it kind of fits him! Thanks again for your help and support yesterday, and for all that you do to help find homes for precious little animals. Thanks, Robert and Debbi

Edison the Shepard Hound Pup
Edison the Shepard Hound Pup

Hi Yvette, We actually took Edison (Eddie) home with us yesterday J We met him on Saturday and just couldn’t get him out of our head. My wife and son and I, all looked at and played with all the dogs there. I, personally could have taken any of them home, but my wife and son really fell in love with this little guy. We decided on keeping the name because it is pretty fitting. Since coming home yesterday afternoon, Edison has had 1 accident in the house and that was only because I wasn’t sure what his cue was. Since then, he goes to the front door, we take him out, and he pees on the lawn. We go for 3 long walks per day.. 7:00 – 1:00ish – 6:00. He walks really well on a leash! When the weather cools a bit, we’ll be playing catch in the backyard. He does a great job at fetching and giving with a tennis ball in the house. My wife and I both work from home and I actually cut my workload in half for the next 2 weeks so that I can help him acclimate and get him on a schedule. We bought a crate for him to sleep in and it seems as though he is already crate trained. He is an absolutely AMAZING puppy. He has nothing but love and affection to give and surprisingly he actually responds to sit, come, fetch and give. We couldn’t be happier. His first visit to our vet will be Wednesday morning. I will definitely keep you posted with updates and pics as he grows. Thanks to Pet Rescue by Judy our family has an incredible new little member. Eric

Exclusive the Friendly Terrier
Exclusive the Friendly Terrier

We adopted Exclusive/Daisy and couldn't be happier with our decision to welcome her to our family:) It was like she was just waiting for us to come pick her up that day. She is such a good puppy, her personality is awesome and training is going well too. I am going to attach some photos, please feel free to use any of them for your success story page.
