Animal Success Stories

Second only to finding homes for our animals is the joy of hearing back from their new families.  We invite you to read along with us.  If you should decide to open up your heart and home to one of our angels, please send us a note and photo to tell us how it is going!  We will post it on this page so others can share in your happiness.

Edith the Downton Abbey Puppy

Dear Lauren, Edith (now Moxi) has made herself right at home!!! She is so much fun!! She adores my husband Pat. She follows him everywhere. Our grand daughters and Moxi have a great time together. We are so happy we picked her and look forward to years of fun. I will send you some pictures as soon as I download them on my laptop. Her nickname at the moment is poopmyster. lol.... I figure the worm pills are keeping her bowels rolling.lol We love her!! Lisa :))

Elanora the Trained Lab/Boxer
Elanora the Trained Lab/Boxer

Life got even more busy after adopting this little slobbering puddle of love. She is really high energy and wants to be outside all the time. Everything is well and she is slowly adjusting and learning to listen and be calm around new people and dogs...ok that last part is a lie. She wants to meet every person, every dog/animal and sniff around the grass for hours. I have pictures of her inside on my phone but most of them are her just staring at the camera. I will have to take some when shes outside and playing, which is when her personality really shines. Thanks,

Explorer the Lynx Point Siamese Kitten

Judy, Hello! How are you doing? Me and my boyfriend, Chuck, adopted Explorer, the Siamese kitten in November. I thought I would update you on how he is doing. We did change his name to Loki, since his brother is Thor. Let me tell you, the name suits him well. Thor is a year older than him and we have had him since he was a couple months old. He has taken on the role as a big brother as you can see in the pictures. Loki is full of so much energy and he has grown very close to us, especially Thor. You cant find one without the other. Loki has really completed our little brood and is so spoiled already. He has too many toys to keep track of that he loses them. Thank you so much for letting Chuck and I adopt him. Hope you enjoy the pictures I have attached. Happy holidays!!! Sincerely, Nicole and Charlie

Ester the Sweet Little Poodle
Ester the Sweet Little Poodle

I am so happy!!! Ester has been in my arms or by my side since they handed her to me! Poor little thing has been clawed twice by Puffer- she didn't even blink, just sniffed and walked away. She's good with cats all right. She's perfect! I can't thank youenought for helping me get a dog of my own! Thankfully, Lydia

Everett the Cream Husky

"Everett is doing well. Not that it really matters, but I looked over his paperwork and saw that his name was Tony while in Miami. He seemed to respond very well when called by Tony, so I just stuck with that to make it easier for him. As long as he has treats, I'm sure he doesn't mind what you call him anyway, ha.
He's doing great. He had a bit of a cough for the first 3 or 4 weeks that I had him, but after some antibiotics, he's been cough-free for a few weeks now. I take him running with me a few times a week and he's learned to fetch like a pro (until he gets bored, that is). I dog-sat my friend's lab-boxer mix for a week, so he has made a new friend as well. I've attached a few picture of them too.
He's a great guy and I'm happy to have him."
