4/12/16 Dog 4 a Day update: Thank you to everyone at Pet Rescue by Judy for letting us take Lucy out for the day! We went to Wekiva Island. She is such a great car passenger! We got there and she was so interested in all the sights and smells. There were lots of other dogs there and she made a friend named Lulu who play-wrestled and rolled around with her. Lucy also went canoeing! She was a little hesitant at first wondering what that water stuff was she was riding on but she was soon playing captain! We had a great time all day and hope she did too. Lucy went out for
dog 4 a day
and here is what her companion said:
I spent an afternoon with Lucy as part of Dog 4 a Day program. First, I took her to my home to get acquainted; she was a bit shy at first, but when I sat on the floor with her, she soon felt right at ease. She has a calm, yet playful demeanor, and is eager to please. When we went for a long walk, Lucy was curious, but well-behaved, and she didn't pull on the lease. When we returned, Lucy went over to the dog bed I'd set out for her and laid down for a short nap.
Lucy has a very sweet personality and would be a great pet. She does need some basic command training but is a fast learner. I virtually taught her the "Sit" command in a couple of hours with a few treat rewards.
Lucille was owner surrendered to Pet Rescue by Judy because her owner could no longer care for her. She likes to spend time with other dogs, and loves to run and play with her toys - and playing catch is a favorite past time! She would be good with children and other dogs, and we can
cat test
her if needed. She appears to be crate trained and lets us know if she needs to go out. She is available for Dog 4 A Day or fostering, but what Lucille hopes for is adoption. Lucille is a perfect dog who loves to go on walks, runs, and just hanging out!
