Description:
Kamie is a pure bred registered Cocker Spaniel. She is a petite thing, only 17 pounds, might tiny for a Cocker. She is very affectionate and people oriented, following her foster around the house. According to her foster, "Kamie is a 7 year old cocker spaniel. She was raised in the same family since she was a puppy with two other cocker spaniels, Q and Austin who are also up for adoption. Her owners had to heartbreakingly give them up, so if you are looking for more than one cocker spaniel these might be great choices for you. Kamie loves to have her belly rubbed, and makes her self at home on the furniture. She enjoys being loved on and she is as sweet she can be. "
Foster update 7-16-08 I have had Kamie for 3 full days now and this little girl is an absolute joy. She hardly lets me out of her sight and even when I go into the garage and come back in, she is so overjoyed to see me, like I've been gone for years. She will wait by the garage door for me til I come back in. She really makes her people feel loved. She doesn't demand a lot from you, she just wants to be where you are. I took her for a walk today and she really enjoyed that. She is a shiny, deep black color so getting all of her features to show up well in a photo is hard, and believe me we are trying!
When we go to get her picture, she doesn't sit still very well. She comes up to give you a kiss as if to say, why take my picture when you could be getting kisses which are so much better. But she is a beautiful girl, wait until you see her. She's very tiny and I am trying to add a little more weight on to her. I will try to post some pictures tomorrowso check back for this little doll.

***Are you familiar with the Cocker Spaniel? According to www.dogbreedinfo.com, they are cheerful, sweet, and sensitive. The Cocker Spaniel is respectful of its master's authority without much challenge. Merry and endearing. A happy tail-wagger. Gentle and trusting, with average intelligence. They are lively, playful and devoted. Cockers will do okay in an apartment if they are adequately exercised, and are fairly active indoors. A small yard is sufficient. The American Cocker Spaniel is smaller than the English Cocker Spaniel and has a different conformation. The name "Cocker" comes from the woodcock, a game bird these spaniels flushed particularly well. Today, the Cocker Spaniel serves primarily as a companion and glamorous show dog. It can also be used for hunting, tracking, retrieving, watchdogging and agility. They have a life expectancy of 12-15 years.
