We have always thought Gucci to be a labradoodle, but many people have told her foster mom how much they think she looks like a small English Wolfhound - it would be fun to do a DNA test on her, you never know what you will find!


Foster Update: 

• GUCCI has been with us for 6 mos and is very comfy in our home and yard.
• As she has the run of the yard, we do not necessarily walk her each day. However, when on leash (gentle lead) she does respond well to us and obeys our commands. She also jogs with me and is a good running buddy. Gucci will pull towards other dogs and critters and needs be corrected to remain focused. 
• She has been through the Doglando summer camp and knows how to behave...new owners need be the top dog and model behaviors for her to follow and be consistent in what is expected of her.
• She is still quite active for her 3 yrs and needs daily exercise. We would love for Gucci to have a fenced yard to run around it.  She will go outside and run around and play with you or by herself.
• She loves her people and her home. She is protective of her people and offers a good 'watch dog' behavior. 
• Gucci, true to her breed mix, loves the water and has gone out with us on our boat and had a great tim!

A family willing to continue her training will greatly be rewarded with this great dog!

Foster Update:  Gucci is such a friendly and loving dog!!!  Gucci is a very easy dog to have in the house. She is ready to go when everyone else is, but she will settle right down and sleep on the floor when everyone's watching tv.

She is great with kids and dogs her size. She is not particularly fond of small dogs, though. She is smart and is learning to wait at the door. She knows the word "out" (to not go in a room) and "off" (to get off furniture) She only barks when someone comes to the door. She loves to play ball and swim!

Gucci will be an amazing addition to your family!!!

Gucci is one lucky pup!  She  attended Camp Doglando! This is a fabulous camp where kids, train shelter dogs to get them ready for their new homes.

Camp Trainer Report:  by Audrey, Gucci's Trainer
* Gucci walks well on leash, but is easily distracts by lizards and squirrels.
* She knows the hand signal for sit. She knows that the word "ok" is her release signal.
* Gucci is a dog who loves to be petted.  She is almost always happy, but she doesn't like loud rain or thunderstorms and then she wants you to sit with her and pet her.
* Gucci is crate trained and never has an accident in her crate.
* Gucci LOVES to swim! She is very active and needs a good exercise routine.
* Gucci is very praise motivated and is food motivated in the mornings when she is hungry.
* Gucci plays well with big dogs, but doesn't care for small dogs.
* She loves to play with toys.
* My favorite thing about Gucci is that she would rather be petted and loved on than eat food.  She is really just a big baby!  I like how she looks funny when she sleeps upside down!

This the fourth year that dogs from PRBJ have gone to Camp Doglando and it is amazing how much they learn in a short period of time!  Apply to add Gucci  to your family today!!
