About Greg the Saved Terrier Puppy

  • Microchipped: Yes
  • Housetrained: Yes

Foster Update 3/6/14  Greg lives at Judy's  house.  She reports that he is such a love. He  cuddles and  kisses, is  house and crate trained, and  plays well with the other dogs.  He especially likes car rides. He would be  great for an active  family a and then come home  watch a movie and cuddle on the couch.   judy

Greg arrived at our shelter in the back of a police car. He'd been apprehended while attempting to steal a little boy's lunch. Several people who frequent a local park had seen him there over the last couple of days, with no apparent owner. It's only Greg's first offense, so we're going to sentence him to two good meals a day, plus a soft bed and lots of love. If you agree to take him into your home, he has agreed to pay you with puppy kisses and tail wags!

The Terrier is a good-natured, amusing, extremely loyal and affectionate family pet, which is good with children and adults. Almost always obedient, it is always eager to please its master. It is an extremely courageous and intelligent guard dog that is very full of vitality. They are highly protective of their owners and the owner's property. It is usually very friendly, but has an uncanny ability to know when it needs to protect and when everything is okay. Excellent with children in the family, they have a high pain tolerance and will happily put up with rough child play. As with any breed, they should not be left alone with unfamiliar children. Used as all around working farm dogs, they were referred to as "the poor man's horse". They are strong and generally weigh between 40 and 70 lbs. They have a life expectancy of about 12 - 14 years.
