About Ramius the Pure Bred Russian Blue | |
Ramius is an eight year old neutered mail pure bred Russian Blue. Ramius is a loving cat that enjoys sitting with his owner in the evening and really loves this quiet time. He purrs routinely and when is content. Ramius is used to being the alpha cat in a house of multiple animals. He will co-exist peacefully with dogs and really likes doing figure 8's around his owners legs when he wants attention or is hungry. Ramius is in excellent health.
Ramius and his companion Taka were surrendered due to children's allergies. They MUST be adopted together.
It is believed that the first Russian Blues were brought to England by sailors in 1860. Rumor has it that Queen Victoria was an admirer, and the breed was first introduced to the public at the 1875 Crystal Palace cat show. The Russian Blue has a dense double coat, blue-grey with silver tips that give it a "shimmery" look. They are highly intelligent, and many enjoy playing fetch with their owners. Loyal and curious, the Russian Blue does well with other pets and children. As a result of careful breeding, they have little to no genetic illnesses. Russian Blues have a life expectancy of 12-15 years.
