6/21/09 Foster Update:   Well, I’ve had O’Jay at my house for over a month and I keep looking at him saying “What have you done with O’Jay?” because he is NOTHING like that scared lil furball I used to visit at the kennel.  Since the minute I brought him home, this lil guy made himself at home and adjusted so wonderfully.  He is so sweet and loving.  Whenever I am on the couch, he’s right there with me “making pizza” (kneading) in my lap. He just wants to be around me all the time.  It breaks my heart knowing that he spent all those years with the rescue and still hasn’t found a home. I used to think I knew why (because he wasn’t the friendliest) but since having him with me, he totally proved me wrong. O’Jay is a BIG MUSH and just wants someone to love him and in return, he will love you!   It took him a week or so to get used to my other cats (I have 4) and now he’s just fine being around them all.  If you are looking for an affectionate, lovable furball, O’Jay is the cat for you!!!

I’m keeping the below information on the website so you can see what progress he has made from being in the kennel to being in a loving home.  Do you have room in your home for O’Jay??

O'Jay deserves so much better than he has gotten! We have had him in our rescue for 10 YEARS!!! That is awful! Here's the reason why ~ he's miserable! He is so unhappy, mostly because he doesn't like sharing his space with other cats. Well, by definition, that is exactly the situation he is in by being in a rescue. And a bunch of these roommates are young enough that they haven't figured out the body language thing and are constantly getting in his face. You'd be miserable too, right? And so when people come to meet cats, they pay no attention to O'Jay because he's often pouting. Or, worse yet, he grabs hold of them. Honest, he's been known grab people with this, "Help! Get me out of here!" look in his eye. Of course, they freak out because they think he's going to attack them. What they don't realize is that he is so sweet and affectionate and is craving his own people to love. It would be funny if it weren't so sad.
Now look, can we be honest here? A lot of you say you want a cat who will play with you and follow you around and make your coffee in the morning, ya da ya da ya da. But the truth is, if you are truly honest with yourself, many really just enjoy sharing your home with a cat, are happy to sit together watching a movie, maybe visiting over the morning coffee..... O'Jay is a great cat for a laid back kind of home. Please, won't someone give this cat a chance?
Because he is ten years old, we have qualified O'Jay for our Seniors for Seniors program. His adoption fee will be lowered to $50 should he be adopted by a senior citizen.

MINIMUM ADOPTION/DONATION FEE:
All Pet Rescue By Judy animals are spayed/neutered prior to adoption, micro chipped and up-to-date on the vaccines applicable to their date of intake with PRBJ and respective to their weight and/or age at the time of adoption.

Pet Rescue By Judy is a non-profit, no-kill organization. The PRBJ donation fee collected may not be used to cover just the costs of this particular animal in which you are interested. As we have a variety of animals in our care with a wide range of medical needs, all donations collected are utilized towards all expenses within the rescue.

The goal of PRBJ is not just to place every animal into a home, but it is to place each animal into the RIGHT home, seeking that forever home, to avoid future transition and negative impact on the life of each of these deserving animals.

THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING OPENING YOUR
HEART AND YOUR HOME TO A RESCUED PET
