Description:

Meet Cookie – A Gentle Giant with a Heart of Gold

Cookie is a stunning St. Bernard and Australian Shepherd mix who came to us from a high-kill shelter after they reached out hoping we had room for one very special pup. Of course, we said yes—how could anyone resist that sweet face and even sweeter personality?

At just under a year old and already tipping the scales at 80+ lbs, Cookie is expected to grow into a 100+ lb gentle giant. He’s full of playful puppy energy and would thrive in a home that can provide him with continued training, plenty of exercise, and lots of love.   If there are children in the home, we are recommending no young children due to his size and exhuberant energy.   St. Bernards are large dogs that can be easily excitable, and their size and strength can pose a risk to young children, even though they are gentle.

One look at Cookie and you’ll fall in love. He has striking heterochromia—one beautiful blue eye and one rich brown eye—that makes him unforgettable. He already knows a few basic commands like “sit” and “shake” (though he might hold out for the right treat—he has standards, after all!).

Cookie is also potty trained and enjoys going on walks. He does well on a leash for his age, but continued training and structure will help him become the best companion he can be.

With their lush coats, Saint Bernards require regular grooming to prevent matting and potential skin infections like hot spots and to watch for calluses forming.

If you’re looking for a lovable, goofy, and gorgeous pup to grow with your family, Cookie might just be your perfect match. Come meet him and see why everyone here has fallen for this big-hearted boy!

Important Information for New Puppy Parents

Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience—but it also comes with important responsibilities. To help your puppy grow into a happy, confident, and well-adjusted adult dog,  dedication to obedience training, socialization, and consistent potty training is essential .

We  strongly recommend that the  entire family  participates in puppy training classes . This not only helps build a strong bond with your new pup but also ensures that everyone is using the  same commands and techniques , creating a clear and consistent environment for learning.

**Puppies thrive with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement—and so do their families!  Let’s set them up for a lifetime of love and success.
