Codey is an adorable and loving dog who needs an ACTIVE FAM ILY and a FENCED backyard to go exploring in. He does not like to be in the yard for very long  and will immediately return when called  to come back into house to be with his humans.   ShihTzus are social dogs and luv to be with their people.

Codey was surrendered to PRBJ when his owner was no longer able to care for him due to health issues. He is a sweet boy that likes dogs, kids, and cats. 

Codey does well in the car and only takes him a minute or so to find the right spot to lay down while he goes for a ride. He enjoys r unning in a fenced backyard with pups and larger dogs as well as going on a little walk with his person. He is CRATE trained and enjoys eating.
 
Owners need to be up for regular 6 week grooming needs as coat, ears, and nails need to be trimmed. Also, owners need to be diligent in regularly monitoring eye/lashes as it is common for the breed to have eye lid/lashes grow inward, causing irritation and infection.
