Scooter came from a high kill shelter, and then was adopted and returned due to his owner no longer being able to care for him.  Scooter is a puppy and is always underfoot so a person has to be careful and quick to not step on him or end up tripping over him. 

Scooter is a good eater but he can be picky about what he eats like most small dogs.  He will need a dedicated owner that keeps to a good doggie diet and does not allow him to have things like people food or too many treats.  So he is looking for an active home with a very energetic family where he will get to go on lots of vigorous walks and help him on his weight loss journey.
  
He sleeps all night in his ring with no accidents, enjoys food, and loves going in the car. Scooter gets nervous if someone comes at him quickly or when trying to take him from another person.  

Because he is a little guy that gets nervous with quick actions, we are recommending an adult-only home.    A (fenced) backyard is preferred to allow him a place to romp and play in:)
