1/25/23 Dog for a Day update: Just this past weekend, my roommates and I went to Pet Rescue by Judy for a dog to take for the day. As soon as we got there, they recommended Gucci, the cutest little Austrian Shepard Corgi mix we have ever seen!
As soon as he left his room and saw us, he ran over and was instantly on his belly waiting for rubs. He sat on my lap the whole time on the car ride home and was constantly giving kisses and cuddles. One of Gucci’s cutest habits that we noticed was, when he wanted a belly rub and was sitting on you, he would go on his back making sure his head was supported by your arm just like a little baby. He was so eager to please the entire time and would easily be redirected from any behavior. This dog does not have a mean bone in his body and does well with all animals.
He’s super small so it’s not hard to handle him on the leash or take him wherever you want to go. He looks just like a Corgi but definitely has the temperament of an Australian Shepard ....which was just perfect for anyone who wants that bigger dog energy but needs a dog to be easily handled! He’s such an amazing puppy and anyone would be lucky to have him!

UPDATE 1/12/23 - Gucci has been going out for Dog 4 a Day and this is what Teri said about him:

I have done Dog for a Day with Gucci twice so far and plan to continue this! He is a beautiful 10 mo old boy who is already adjusting to my home, playing with my 3 year old Dachshund mix, and fitting in with the family. He has a lot of energy, but he calms down and listens with consistency and love. He loves to sit outside in the sun with a bone and toys. I have attached pictures. I think he is perfect for an active owner/family!

  Gucci was surrendered by an elderly woman who was not able to care for him because he is young and very energetic.  

  Gucci is very playful and an active young family is preferred for him:)  Someone home during most of the day to work with him would be great.
  He will need behavioral and potty training, and ANOTHER DOGGIE BUDDY IN THE HOME is desired to help him model proper canine behavior. Because he is sooo energetic, we are not recommending homes with toddlers/younger kids or mature parents.
  Gucci can jump a 4' fence, so a taller height is needed to give him a safe backyard to run and play in.
  We are not sure about his breed, but at 10 mos old, he is not going to get much bigger. We did a breed scan and results indicated Icelandic Sheepdog, Australian Shepherd, and Corgi breeds.
