Description:

He loves, loves, loves his ladies and would do best in a home with females only as he is not comfortable with men.

Nitro is a sweet boy he was found by some people who were driving after a storm. They posted him on the proper sites in hopes of finding his owner. He is a love bug, likes to cuddle, and is very playful.  Although, with time, Nitro has warmed up to the male staff here at the center. He loves to swim, play fetch, and give lots of kisses.

Dog for a day 1/25:

I enjoyed an active morning with Nitro. He’s a beautiful dog with lots of energy and enthusiasm for just about everything and everyone in his path. He taught this small dog owner a thing or two about walking a larger, strong dog on a leash. Once I got the hang of it he was ready to play. Wasn’t sure how affectionate he would be until I sat on the grass and he joyfully jumped on me for a minute until desperately wanting to find what might be in my backpack. His suspicion was correct. He enjoyed a quick treat and off we went. Nitro seemed most excited at the sight of children playing and he reacted well (stayed close and quiet) when small dogs lost their cool and barked at him. He’s a good boy and loves to be praised. At the end of our walk I was a sweaty, muddy mess (did I mention he was playful?) and he looked at me with this priceless expression that seemed to say, “Thanks. You’ll get the hang of this. Let’s do it again some time.” Check him out and see how he’s even more gorgeous in person!
