~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Bernie and her bestie, Kipper, were surendered to Pet Resuce by Judy, though no fault of their own. They are both happy little dogs who are good with children. Bernie can be an escape artist, so her owners will need to be cautious around open doors.
They are both potty-trained and do fine in a house when left alone. They are used to sleeping in bed with their owner, and they love to go on walks/runs.  A fenced-in backyard would be beneficial as they have lots of energy by and love to run and play with each other.
  As Jack Russell mixes, Bernie and Kipper would be best for active owners. They are both affectionate, but are not dogs to sleep all day on the couch. JRussell Terriers are typically energetic, nose to the ground, luv to dig and chase small critters in the yard. With this in mind, they are not recommended for homes with cats.
Bernie and Kipper can be adopted separately or together:) They are available for dog4day, fostering and adoption. If you are looking for a buddy to take on long walks and adventures, Bernie and Kipper are your kinda dogs! At 20 lbs, he is a great choice for owners wanting a compact companion...not too big and not too small:)
