1/1/19 Foster Update -  Sonny is happy guy who, upon waking, loves to start his morning with belly rubs!  His cute little personality is starting to shine thru more and more each day!  He is a champ on leash walks, loves to wrestle his stuffed animals, play chase with his humans, and is a champ at naptime!  We are continuing with potty training and he wears belly bands in the house. Sonny enjoyed a Christmas filled with lots of love, treats, and new toys from Santa!  

11/14/18 Foster Update - Sonny is enjoying family life, morning walks, playing with his toys, and snuggling with his humans at night.  He also enjoys hanging out with his fellow dog brothers and cat sister.   Potty training is an ongoing process and he wears belly bands when loose in the house.  He is a sweet little guy who is easy to love!

10/30/18 Foster Update - Sonny loves going on his morning half mile walks, playing with a feather cat toy, and he recently discovered the joy of squeaking his stuffed animal!  He would do good as an only dog or in a home with a dog who will not try to dominate him.  Sonny would love to share the joys of family life!

10/22/18 - Sonny's personality is starting to shine thru, he loves to make a nest in blankies and play with small toys.   Sonny is curious about cats and enjoys other dogs, but is not aggressive.  He is a very submissive guy and gets startled at loud noises.  As he is not potty trained, we are using belly bands and wee-pee pads, but he still has some accidents so further training and patience is needed. Coming from a hoarding situation, this is to be expected as the poor guy probably was never taken outside so he does not know any better. He needs a patient home-owner willing to take the time to introduce outside as a fun, safe place to go potty.  Another dog in the home to model after has shown to be effective in training mature dogs to go potty outside:)

Sonny is a sweet small dog who is a lover! He wants to be held and cuddled with. He walks well on a leash, but does not want to walk for long distances. He would rather be held and given love.

Sonny and his companions Elijah and Cher were rescued from horrendous conditions (shown below) He is so happy to finally have a nice clean bed, fresh food and water, and lots of love. He is looking for his furever home that will treat him how he was supposed to be treated his whole life: Spoiled! He doesn't seem to mind other dogs. He is still a little scared right now, but once he gets settled,he will make an amazing companion.
