Description:

We rescued Oreo from a kill shelter. She was on the euthanasia list because she had a leg injury. Because she is a puppy, her leg fracture has healed on its own and she has been cleared by the vet. She is a very sweet and spunky little girl. She still has a lot of puppy behaviors and would benefit from an active family willing to work with her to become a great canine citizen. She loves to run around with the other dogs and play with her toys. She is full of love and wants to be able to spread it wherever she goes.

Oreo got to go out for our Dog for a Day program! This is what the nice woman had to say about her!:
Hello! So, I am just providing you with the update experience that I had with Oreo today! She was really energetic when I first brought her to the house but she calmed down after she sniffed around and got comfortable with her surroundings:). She didn't show any signs at all of nervousness and shyness and actually grew really comfortable with my family almost immediately! I have a 5 year old and a 9 year old and she was so gentle and extremely great with the kids. I took her out for a walk and I did notice that she gets really excited and a huge bursts of energy when she gets around strangers or when she comes in contact with other dogs, but of course she will, she is a puppy! She walks great on a leash and loves the walks and fresh air. Also, she got a nice little car ride. At first in the car, she really wants to sit on your lap while you drive but if you get her a soft towel or blanket she will rest and relax as you take a drive with her. She loves the attention, resting her head in your lap, and lots of scratchies and rubs. Definitely a great pup to have on your side!
