Pelu came from Puerto Rico and was then surrendered to a high kill shelter.  When the previous owners surrendered him they informed the shelter that he was too much for them to handle. He can be somewhat nippy at times, for reasons we are not sure; sometimes a fast movement causes him to be scared and he nips back.  We woiuld not reccommend small children due to this behavior. Pelu is partially housetrained, so with a little help he should be housetrained fast.   His behavior toward men/women has been friendly.   Pelu is also good with other dogs.  If you are interested in meeting Pelu please put an application in.
