WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND A FENCED IN BACKYARD FOR JASPER.   HE LOVES RUNNING AROUND OUR BACKYARD WITH ANOTHER LARGE DOG. A COMPANION DOG IS ADVISABLE ALSO.

Jasper aka Jordy is a handsome, friendly  brown lab mix. He loves everybody he meets and wants to play with any dog who will let him! He loves ice cubes, carrots, bones and belly rubs.  He is potty trained and can sit, shake and lay down on command but absolutely refuses to roll over and just can hardly stand to "stay" if you walk off too far.  He won't come near the pool but will let me bathe him in our walk in shower - for a treat of course! Sometimes to wear him out we play fetch with his dinner - it's actually more like "throw it down the hall and race to eat it" and for some reason he loves it! 

We use a gentle lead leash for walks just because he's so strong and eager to meet everyone he sees.  He is very much a people dog and will follow you to whatever room you are working in. During the day he sleeps on his bed but prefers the couch and at night he sleeps in our room (he would love the bed but I insist on the chair).  He seems to have a little separation anxiety so we crate him when we leave the house and make sure to supply him with chewing bones and and put everything else out of reach. Because of this, we think he needs a home where he isn't left alone all day. 

For his size and age  he is suprisingly a gentle giant, but because he is so eager to play and wrestle, it can quickly get overwhelming for little ones. We recommend a home with big kids and large dogs. He would love to have a big doggy sibling he can play with all day! He also needs a lot of play time and a fenced in back yard. Jasper is highly active and needs a lot of exercise - he is not a couch potato type of dog. He is sweet and friendly and playful and he would love to meet you today!
