Description:
UPDATE: We feel that Bryn would be best in a household as the only dog and older children, teenagers. She loves the car and will meet you at the door before you even have your keys in your hand.
We just wanted to share our amazing experience with "
Bryn
" this past weekend when we had her out for PRBJ's "Dog 4 a Day" program. We had
Bryn
for a little more than a day as she spent the night with us as well.
We picked up
Bryn
Saturday morning and to be honest we had not "pre-selected" her, instead Hannah from the shelter suggested her to us.
From the moment we met
Bryn
she was just outstanding. She has beautiful markings and just a wonderful disposition. She wasn't jumping on us or really concerned with all the other dogs & activity in the shelter lobby around her as I put her harness on her.
Throughout the two days she stayed with us and many, many miles of walking she remained very calm on the leash and was a great walker, most of the time remaining right by your side rarely pulling. She did like to chase after the occasional lizard, but a quick tug on the leash brought her right back to your side. We walked throughout the Downtown & Historic District passing numerous cats, birds, ducks, squirrels, dogs and people without issue.
When we went to PRBJ we were looking for a dog to hangout with us for the day at the Pints n Paws Festival and
Bryn
was PERFECT! We were there for over six hours with thousands of people and many, many dogs.
Bryn
did amazing interacting, sniffing, smelling and just having a good time with all the other dogs in attendance and trust me there were a lot!
During our two days with
Bryn
here are few things we discovered:
-
She was extremely affectionate and happy to just be by your side
-
Loves to play fetch
-
Loves "toys" from nylabones, balls to chewable stuffed animals
-
Loves water ... jumped right into baby pools at festival
-
House trained and loved sleeping in her crate (though probably not necessary)
-
Loves walks and does wonderful on a lead
-
Never begged for human food or bothered unattended food in her reach
Bryn
is shown with her Superwoman Cape (adopt me) and is looking for her furever heroes to conquer the world with ...
Foster Update: 2-21-17
Bryn spend the night at my house and did good with all of her other dogs at home She is very well behaved in the house, and enjoys car rides. We were a little concerned with how she would react with the other dogs but, she acclimates well to calm dogs. -Judy
Bryn and her babies were pulled from a high kill shelter. Now, all her babies have been adopted and she is patiently waiting her turn. Bryn is very loyal, sweet, and affectionate. She would prefer to be the only dog in her new household. However, she does get along with some dogs. She gets so excited to play, that some dogs do not react well to her. She went out with a group of dogs at a UCF event and goes out with another dog at the shelter. Bryn has a high energy level and would benfit from being with an active person. She loves to play ball in the yard and run around.
Bryn is heartworm positive but that is should not deter anyone from adopting Bryn or any dog. We will supply you with information on the slow kill method, which is the treatment that Pet Rescue By Judy uses, and also send you home with six months of heartworm medication.
