Foster Update, May 7th:  Do you like the Big Cats?  Well, if you'd like to adopt your very own, sleek and streamlined, miniature Black Panther, Booda is your man.  At almost six months old, Booda is a fireball bundle of energy and will play with anything in his path.  He is a pouncer on toy 'prey' and curious about everything close to him or far away.  At his foster home he has two other cats to chase and play with, and will thrive best in a home with another younger cat to match his energy level.  He's sweet and loving one minute, and a natural feline practicing hunting skills the next.  His antics are hilarious, and need to be appreciated before he grows up and slows down.  Right now he's only a lap cat for fifteen seconds; then he'll rub his head on mine, look up into my eyes and say 'time to go, things to do'.  And he's off like a bullet. Booda is the last of a litter of six kittens to be adopted.  His mother is a docile, sweet matron with patience for her little boy. She still grooms him on occasion and then chases him from one room to another.  When Booda is at the Adoption Center at the mall, he catches up on his sleep.  At all other times, he's a crazy happy Firestar.

Foster Update: April 10th: This morning Booda Firestar woke me up,  his foster mom, with soft pats of his paws on my head.  It was so adorable! What a sweet and loving cat he has been.  He's been able to get his mom in a playful mood too, and it's taken a long time to get his mom back to the carefree young feline she should be.  Booda loves to run and explore, but will crash to long, peaceful naps during the day and early evening.  His appetite is good and he's sharing his food dish with my older cat, Frodo.  Booda needs a new home where he can continue to thrive and get affection.  He's a wonderful little fur-ball.  Come see him at Judy's Adoption Center this weekend.  Although he has a dark coat, the photos will show that he has the neatest black and brown stripes.  In the right light, he looks like a little tiger.

Foster Update, April 5th: "This is Booda again.  I'll be back at Oviedo Mall on Saturday and I hope that I will be a good match for someone on Easter weekend.  I'm going to sign up for a singles website if I don't find a warm and loving home soon.  I'm almost four months old and a bundle of energy.  If you have a lonely fur-ball who needs an exercise partner, then I'm the boy for you.  I love to run and jump and explore every nook and cranny of my foster home.  They have a rather rotund cat, Frodo, who I love to chase and play with and I think he's already losing some of that excess weight.  I really would be happy in a home with another cat.  I will respect his or her boundary's, until I get to know them, but I will be with them while you are away from home so they aren't lonely.  I can be a nanny cat!  I'm also young enough to learn to love dogs and kids and I am sure that you will love me forever, as I will love you. "

Foster Update March 28, 2012: "This week my foster mom is letting me, Booda Firestar, write the update.  I asked her if I could, so I could let everyone know how special I am.  It's always tough to be the last one in the litter that's picked for a new home, a forever home, but that's me.  I am a small boy, and not very partial to going to the mall.  My sisters seemed to enjoy it (they both went to a new home together!), but I'd really like to find a place with another kitty to play with,  since I really don't care for that whole shopping scene.  I am really energetic and fun to watch at play, and even asleep - very angelic I might add.  I am inquisitive and smart. My mom is a Bengal cat, known to be very intelligent, and if you look at my dark fur in a certain light, you can see faint stripes.  I also like to supervise the cleaning of my litter box.  I will stand quietly and watch to make sure that it's very clean because I am a very fastidious cat.  I love looking out the window and in my foster home I spot birds at the feeder and squirrels in the trees.  It's really fun!  Not everyone knows it, but black cats are known to be very good luck, at least that's the cosmopolitan belief in Europe.  I will bring lots of love to the home that adopts me.  Please visit me at the mall, because the photos don't do me justice.  I am much more handsome in person.  And I would love to have a playmate."

Foster Update March 20, 2012:  Booda Firestar is a strong boy with a playful heart and loving behaviors.  His Mom has taught him to keep his claws retracted and he’s gentle when he plays.  He jumps on my lap for a stroke of his fur and a rub on his head.  He is sweet and loving and will undoubtedly settle into ‘lap cat mode’ as soon as he gets a bit older and stops the wrestle and play with his siblings.  Booda loves to chase a laser light and will entertain his new parent for hours.  Then he’ll settle down for a nap and cuddle.  His appetite is good and his adventurous spirit is angelic.  He’s a good candidate for a two kitty home, as he is very sociable, especially with his brother, Angel.

I was born on December 20, 2011, in Winter Park Florida.  My Mom had been abandoned and the place she went to ask for food was special - because I was born there.  I have 5 brothers and sisters to play with now and I love to chase and wrestle with them.  My fur is longer than my siblings, kind of brown on black – and very, very soft.  I love to be cuddled.  If I look at you it means cuddle time! I will give you unconditional love and keep you company, especially if you are lonely and need a special friend.

I am very affectionate and will follow you around until you tickle my tummy.  I love to ‘wrestle’ with people and will lie down on my back until I get all the tummy play I can handle.  I know how to use the litter box and purr!
