Sweet Claudia was adopted several months ago, but now that her mommy's schedule has changed, she is now looking for a new home. She is housebroken, good with other dogs and loves kids! Claudia's previous owner has this to say about her:

"Claudia is a very good natured and loving dog who would make a great pet for someone who can spend time with her. she is great with kids ,but i would recomend that if some one with kids adopts her that the kids be at least eight or old enogh to handle her,she is a very strong animal..She loves her toys and enjoys a rawhide to chew on every once in awhile.very playful, good spirited, friendly animal who enjoys a little space to run.. ,she is realy a wonderful animal ,but it is not fair to her that we can not spend the time she needs with her.she knows basic comands is house broken and likes her kennel..she is a good guard dog letting you know if anything is around ,although she would not harm a soul her bark is intimidating and a good deterant for intruders."

Update, June 10nd: Claudia is going to camp!  What? you ask.  She is going to participate in the University of Doglando kids camp.  During this two week period she is going to be spending her time with one lucky camper as they both learn the ins and outs of dog ownership and responsibilities.  What a time they will have!!!

Update, June 22nd: Claudia is back from summer camp, and what a time she had!  There she was paired up with Sarah, who called her "Marigold", and spent two weeks in intensive one-on-one time.  She learned to walk on a leash, sit and stay, participated in agility sports, to jump and swim in a pool, proper behavior in public areas and so much more!   If you are viewing this information on our website you can see two videos of her leaping into the swimming pool plus photos from her camp experience, with Sarah sitting outside Panera Bread while the campers eat there al fresco, and the flyer Sarah made about her at the end of the two weeks.  It reads, in part:

The Blackmouth Cur is a muscular dog who has traditionally been used as a hunting and cattle dog. He is a hard worker on the job, but enjoys playing with his people just as much, and tends to be great with children. Loyal and fearless, they are protective of their family. These active dogs need plenty of exercise, and is not for the owner who has a sedentary lifestyle. If he is well socialized, he can get along well with other dogs, but it is not traditionally good with cats.
