I have been with PRBJ since 5/10/11
Foster Update 2/4/13: Fred is a petite cat with big attitude! He has the loudest meow I've heard and lets you know when he wants a fuss, wants to join you in the bathroom and when the food bowl is empty! Fred loves to play with the water out of the faucet and will cry until you turn the water on for him.
He is still very jumpy with loud noises and when the door bell rings he runs and opens the bedroom cupboard (he can open all the cupboards in the house) and hides till he thinks it's safe to come out. He is very shy with new people for a couple of days then once he has sussed them out, their lap is fair game! He will sit on your lap and ask for a fuss and sleeps on the bed with you, however, it is on his terms. He still doesn't like to be picked up but will follow you around the house, chatting away. Fred needs a quiet household (no kids for him!) with patient owners wiling to give him the time to come around and feel secure in his new environment. Fred is fine with the other cats in the household but would be OK as an only cat. He is great with the two large but gentle resident dogs.
Foster Update 11/29/11: Fred is still such a Momma's Boy. He is fine in the comfort zone of his home and family but add in anything new and he is running for his human Mom! He gets on great with cats and dogs of all ages and sizes. Fred is a quiet and low key cat - calm and sweet until it comes to meal times! He loves his food so much that he cries, paces and grunts until the can is opened and placed in front of him. Heaven forbid if his meal is late! He wails...such a baby!
Foster Update 10/25/11: Fred is a small cat but has a big if "wet" personality. I say "wet" because he is very much a Momma's Boy. He is smart but not confident and runs to his Foster Mom if there is a loud noise etc. He would be fine as the only cat in the house although he does get on well with other animals. He does need a lot of human attention though as he would miss his cuddles otherwise!
Fred is a darling! He has a wonderful combination of a sweet and loving personality and playful, adventurous kitten euthusiasm. He loves to snuggle on laps on his down time and sleeps with his foster Mom and Dad at night. He isn't very vocal but he will "chat" with you and tell you when he wants something, such as a treat, a cuddle or just a "hello."
Fred is in a foster home with his sister, Ginger Rogers, and his companion Rizic. They are the three amigos and romp around the house looking for exciting objects and smaller kittens to jump on! Fred won't disappoint - he is an absolute lovebug!
