Echo the Black GSD

Wanted to give you an update on Echo. He is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL. He has adjusted beautifully to our home. I hate to say this, but, I am so happy his previous homes did not work out. He is such a great part of our family. He learned all of his basic commands within days. He lets us know when he wants/needs something and is training us as well. We are working to teach him that he doesn't have to use all of his energy in the first 15 min at the dog park. He has had no issues with aggression with other dogs and gets excited and wants to play. Everyone who has met him cannot get over how well behaved and sweet he is. He loves to go for rides and behaves so well in the car and truck. I can't begin to explain the difference he has made in our lives. The feelings we get when we get home from work and he comes running to the door to greet you, then runs through the house barking to let everyone else know your home. When we get up in the morning and he is laying outside the bedroom waiting for us to get up or you get up in the middle of the night and he is stretched out on the couch or in his recliner. The humor we find in watching him pick up all of his toys when we are done playing at night and put them in his dog bed (which he doesn't sleep in. He prefers the full size bed in his room) . He has a bit of a stubborn streak (most shepherds do) that is kind of like dealing with a petulant child, but his eagerness to learn and please makes his stubbornness easy to deal with. Out of all my previous shepherds and other dogs I have worked with, he has been the easiest and most eager to learn. Thank you for allowing us to make Echo a part of our family. He has brought so much joy and laughter to us that we had lost after losing our Readdi girl to cancer.
